Hair transplantation can result in swelling, pain, itching, folliculitis, infection, bleeding, scarring, and unnatural hair direction. Since risks differ between the donor site and recipient site, it is important to confirm them separately before surgery.
Hair transplant engraftment cannot be judged by appearance immediately after surgery or temporary shedding alone. Damage during extraction, dryness, storage conditions, transplant density, and post-operative hair growth cycles all affect the result, with final evaluation typically around one year after surgery.
